What the Full Moon lit up, the retrograde wants you to feel

Hello Wild One,

Two things just happened on the same day, and they were not a coincidence.

On Monday, Mercury stationed retrograde in Cancer, the sign of memory, emotional depth, and the feelings we carry longer than we like to admit. On that same day, the Full Moon rose in Capricorn, flooding the Cancer-Capricorn axis with the particular cold clarity of a midsummer moon at its height.

  • What you've been building ↬ illuminated.
  • What you've been feeling ↬ surfaced.
  • What you thought you'd finished ↬ returned.

This is The Deep Pull. The momen in Cancer Season when the tide stops being metaphor and becomes something you feel in the body ൠ a kind of undertow that isn't trying to take you under. It's trying to show you the floor.

Jupiter moved into Leo yesterday, the morning after the Full Moon, and if you felt something stir underneath the intensity ൠ a quiet sense that something expansive is seeding itself even in the middle of all this feeling ൠ that was real, too. The season holds both. It always does.

But first: the floor. The retrograde. The thing the Full Moon lit up that you're still sitting with.

Let's be with it a little longer before we decide what it means.

Mercury Retrograde in Cancer asks you to access what you know below the level of articulation ൠ the felt sense, the body's yes or no, the emotional intelligence that doesn't always have language yet. A pendulum is one of the oldest tools designed for exactly this.

No pendulum at all? Try this instead: write the question on paper, then flip a coin. Heads is yes, tails is no. Before you look at the result, notice what you're hoping for. That hope is your answer.

Or pull a single tarot card, or one rune, with the question held clearly in mind. The point is the same: you are giving your intuition a physical prompt to speak through. The tool is the excuse... the knowing is already yours.

The fog doesn't lift all at once. But next week begins the season's turn toward something that has been earning its name under all this depth.

Neptune goes retrograde on July 7 ൠ which, counterintuitively, tends to thin illusions rather than thicken them. The Last Quarter Moon arrives the same day in Aries, asking for an honest release. And Venus moves into Virgo on July 9, bringing a quality of attentive, practical care into the season's emotional water.

The combination is worth something: clarity is coming. Not the dramatic kind. The quiet kind that feels like finally seeing what you've been walking around.

For now: the retrograde is young. Let it do its work. Let the Full Moon's illumination settle. Let the water show you the floor at its own pace.

Stay wild.

Stay wicked.

Stay submerged.
