Hello Wild One,

Something is building.

You may have felt it already ↬ a pressure beneath the surface of ordinary days, something moving underground where Taurus does its quietest and most significant work. This is not anxiety, though it may feel adjacent to it. This is the season deepening into itself.

Beltane arrives this week.

If you have never felt the ancient fire festivals in your body, this is the one most likely to make itself known. Beltane is not subtle. It is the full roar of the living world at the peak of spring ↬ the night when the land blesses itself, when fires are lit on hillsides, when vitality stops being a concept and becomes something you can feel in your chest.

And this year, Beltane coincides with the Full Moon.

The Full Flower Moon in Scorpio.

Taurus's opposite sign rises to full illumination on the same night the fires are lit. Where Taurus builds and holds and tends, Scorpio asks: what are you keeping inside the walls you've been building? Not to tear them down. To make sure what lives inside them is actually serving you.

This is not a gentle week. It is an honest one.

And honest weeks, in the end, are the ones that matter.

This week holds a full tension: of Beltane's vitality and of Scorpio's depth.

It acknowledges that what you've been carrying was necessary for a season, and shows that it is ready to be released.

This isn't always easy, but it is an honesty that is necessary now.

The Scorpio Full Moon is Taurus's mirror across the zodiac. They are opposite signs, which means they ask the same question from different directions.

Taurus asks: what am I building?

Scorpio asks: what is living inside what you're building?

For this Full Moon, the practice is simple and requires your honesty more than your tools.

On or near May 1, light a candle ↬ dark red, black, or deep green if you have it; any candle if you don't.

Sit with these three questions. Write your answers, or simply stay with them:

You don't have to emerge transformed. You just have to be honest.

The fires of Beltane don't demand anything of you except your presence.

So be present this week, wild one. Let the Full Moon illuminate what it will. Let Mercury in Taurus slow your mind into something deeper than clever. Let the Flower Moon bloom in the dark.

On the other side of this weeks intensity, something will have shifted. Not dramatically ↬ Taurus doesn't do dramatic.

Quietly. In the way that a room looks different after you've finally moved the furniture that was blocking the light.
